The Role of Internal Audit in Auditing VAT

The Abu Dhabi Center for Corporate Governance, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, in collaboration with PwC’s Academy invite you to attend a seminar titled “The Role of Internal Audit in Auditing VAT”.  The seminar will be held on Monday 26 February, 2018 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Abu Dhabi Chamber, second floor.
Outline of the Seminar:
Internal Auditors are an integral part of the governance framework of an organization. As the new VAT regime comes in place, a critical role of internal auditors is to add value to their organization, in either the public or in the private sector, by providing their stakeholders an objective assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal controls and governance arrangements implemented in the application of VAT.
In this session, participants will get an insight to the risks posed by VAT and how internal audit should approach these risks.
Hosted by a PwC Tax training expert with 25+ years of experience, this is the perfect opportunity for internal auditors to learn about:
•VAT general principles
•Where is VAT applicable in the Government?
•VAT risks for the Government Departments
•Internal audit of VAT in Government Departments
