ADCCG organizes a seminar on “Developing an Ethical Work Culture”

The Abu Dhabi Center for Corporate Governance (ADCCG), in cooperation with GCC Board Directors Institute, has organized a specialized seminar on “Developing an Ethical Work Culture), at the Chamber’s Tower in Abu Dhabi.
A large number of representatives of public and private companies in the UAE attended the seminar.
The Executive Director of the GCC Board Directors Institute Jane Valls delivered a presentation during the seminar in which she spoke of ethics at work and why companies should care about an ethical work culture. She also talked about the most important risks companies face in the absence of an ethical system.
Mrs. Valls lectured the attendance on basic framework for ethics management and corruption prevention and the current corporate best practices. She pointed out that the programs of the most ethical companies in the world are featured in three aspects which are promoting for ethical standards and practices internally, enabling managers and employees to make good decisions and drafting standards to spread the best practices in this regard.
The Executive Director spoke of the GCC Board Directors Institute saying that it encompasses 670 members including regional flagship corporations, family-owned businesses and government entities which follow the corporate governance standards. She added that the institute is the most influential senior Board Directors network in the GCC through the continuous networking events and meetings it organizes.
